LaGrange Beach Volleyball Closes Season With 5-0 Losses to Hendrix and Berry at Berry DIII Beach Bash

ROME, Ga. – LaGrange (0-21) closed out the 2023 campaign with a pair of 5-0 losses to national runner-up Hendrix (9-10) and host Berry (10-10) on the final day of the Berry DIII Beach Bash in NCAA beach volleyball action on Saturday, March 25.

GAME 1: HENDRIX 5, LAGRANGE 0

Senior Bailey Moss (Jupiter, Fla.) and freshman Zentrina Choice (Sumter, S.C.) dropped the No. 1 match to Abby Collier and Kyler Greenlee 21-7, 21-7 to open before freshmen Morgan Martin (Chelsea, Ala.) and Alexis Childers (Adairsville, Ga.) fell 21-12, 21-13 to Rebecaa Solina and Eliana Oden at the two spot.

Junior Carmen Hamilton (Alpharetta, Ga.) and freshman Meredith Orton dropped a 21-11, 21-10 decision to Meghan Fuller-Freeman and Liz Roy at No. 3. Senior Vianca Colon-Gonzalez (Vega Baja, Puerto Rico) and freshman Rhaya Harwell (Austell, Ga.) closed out the match, following a forfeit at No. 5, with the most competitive match of the day as they pushed Morgan Ford and Avery Evans-Brooks at the fourth position.

GAME 2: BERRY 5, LAGRANGE 0

Vianca Colon-Gonzalez and Harwell would also deliver the strongest performance in the season finale against homestanding Berry. They would post another 21-14 decision in the opening set before narrowly falling 21-18 in the second at No. 4.

Hamilton and Orton also came within 21-18, notching that against Jen Aten and Lilly Teagle in the first set of the three spot, before succumbing 21-10. Martin and Childers dropped a 21-10, 21-11 decision against Hannah Hulsman and Kara Schmit at No. 2 and Moss and Choice rounded things out as they fell 21-8, 21-7 to Peyton Breissinger and Bella Boston at the top spot.
