Freshman infielder Blake Schuck was the USA South Rookie of the Week for the week ending Feb. 10 as announced by the conference office.

Schuck helped the Panthers to a 2-2 record last week, including a USA South series win over Methodist. He batted .333 and made only one error in 22 chances at shortstop.

In the three-game series against Methodist, Schuck was 5-for-12 at the plate with two doubles and three RBIs. He also pitched two innings of scoreless relief to get the win in the Panthers' 5-4 10-inning victory Saturday. Schuck allowed a hit, walked one and struck out three.
