Freshman Jacob Brown is the USA South Rookie Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 10. Brown helped the second-ranked Panthers to a 4-0 week, including a three-game sweep of USA South opponent Brevard.

Brown appeared in two games, picking up a win at Berry and a save in the series final against Brevard. In the two games, Brown threw a total of 6-1/3 scoreless innings. He gave up two hits, did not allow a walk, and struck out seven. Brown is 3-0 this season with a 2.00 ERA with 20 strikeouts in 18 innings.
