LAGRANGE, Ga. – No. 4 LaGrange (6-2, 0-0 CCS) baseball hits their stride as they host four straight games with three against North Carolina Wesleyan (8-1, 0-0 USA South) with a doubleheader on Saturday, March 4 and series finale on Sunday, March 5 before taking on Wittenberg (2-1, 0-0 NCAC) in a single game on Monday, March 6.

All games will be played at Cleaveland Field in Williamson Stadium with the NCSU series first pitch times at 2 p.m., 5 p.m. and 12 p.m. and WU game at 2 p.m.

LC comes in having won five of their last six, defeating Millsaps (7-3 on 2/19), Emory (15-4 on 2/22), Rose-Hulman (20-3 and 14-2 on 2/25) and 12-3 over Adrian (2/28). The lone loss during that stretch came to RHIT, 6-3 in the series.

NCWU comes in with an 8-1 start under their belt, a stretch that included sweeps of Bridgewater (2/11) and Roanoke (2/18). Most recently they have won three in a row, a stretch continued with a 15-5 victory over Averett (2/28). Wittenberg, meanwhile has claimed two of their first three, sweeping Transylvania 4-3 and 17-5 on Sunday, February 26.

SERIES HISTORY

In a tale of two series, LaGrange leads N.C. Wesleyan 30-11 in a series that dates to 2001 while the Panthers and Wittenberg have never met. Against the Battling Bishops they posted a series-best 11 straight wins from 2016 into 2021 and enter this year's meeting having won the last five in the series, dating to 2021.
