Freshman goalkeeper Andrew Cole of the LaGrange College men's soccer team recorded a game-high six saves during a 1-0 USA South loss to Brevard Saturday afternoon on Panther Field.

The Panthers (6-5-1, 2-3-1) will finish their season Sunday against Warren Wilson at 2 p.m. on Panther Field. Prior to the game, LaGrange will honor seniors Lucas Wright, Evan Sampers, Jordan Coppola, Asher Hendon, Joao Santos, Dawson Davis, Serik Rosencrants, Alex Tucker and Noah Stanford.

LaGrange nearly went on the scoreboard Saturday in the 35th minute. Junior defender Alex Drazic played a tremendous ball into the middle of the 18-yard box, but Hendon's header shot went just wide right.

With 1:22 remaining in the opening half, Cole made a highlight-reel diving save in net for LaGrange, as he robbed Sam O'Callaghan during a free-kick opportunity from just beyond the box.

Wendel Lima netted the game-winner for the Tornados (9-3-3, 2-2-2) in the 64th minute, assisted by Estevan Berto. Brevard led the shots category, 20-11, including a 7-3 advantage in shots on goal.

Hendon, junior Enrique Hernandez and freshman William Perry combined for seven shots and two on net for the hosts. Ryan Lynch finished with a total of four shots and two on target for the visitors.
