Following a scoreless first half, in the 87th minute, Matthew Webb's assist to Enrique Hernandez's finish pushed the Panthers past Piedmont 1-0 (Oct. 3).

The first half was a slow one for both teams' offenses. Although the Panthers lead in shots with seven over Piedmonts three, both squads finished the half with three shots on goal a piece. Sophomore forward Dylan Bailey led the team with shots on target with two in the first half. The score at the end of 45 was 0-0.

The second half continued to be a hard fought match and it looked like it was going to end 0-0. That was until a pass from Matthew Webb found Enrique Hernandez for him to stuff in a goal in the 87th minute. 

The Panthers won the game 1-0.

The team travels to Kentucky to face Berea College on Oct. 7, at 1 p.m.
