LAGRANGE, Ga. – LaGrange (4-4, 0-2 CCS) men's tennis was dominant start to finish as they posted their second 9-0 sweep of Mississippi University for Women (0-9) in an NCAA Division III men's tennis match on Thursday, March 23.

That dominance began at No. 3 doubles with an 8-0 blanking of Braxton Brown and Kristopher McGowan by freshmen Nic Bodin (Atlanta, Ga.) and Peyton Beasley and would continue through a pair of 8-1 decisions. Those would come at No. 1 by seniors Al Robertson (Moreland, Ga.) and Luke Griffin (Atlanta, Ga.) and freshmen Michael Strydom (Brits, South Africa) and Kyle Moore (Sharpsburg, Ga.) at No. 2.

Any thoughts of a rebound would be dashed over the first four singles matches as the Panthers were untouchable with four straight 6-0, 6-0 decisions. Robertson, Strydom, Griffin and Bodin would author those shutouts while junior Zach Neighbors (LaGrange, Ga.) downed Nolan Owens 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6 and Beasley slipped past Brown 6-0, 4-6, 10-5 to complete the shutout.

UP NEXT

The Panthers continue a stretch of three matches in four days as they hit the road to take on Maryville on Saturday, March 25 before returning home a day later to take on Berea. First serve is set for 2 p.m. and 11 a.m., respectively.
