BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Birmingham-Southern took a non-conference doubleheader from LaGrange on Wednesday. The Panthers (0-4) lost by scores of 7-3 and 8-0 in five innings.

In the first game, Emily Barrs had two run-scoring doubles for the Panthers. McKenzie Brunel also had two hits and scored a run.

Chelsea Twardoski (0-1) went the distance on the mound. She allowed the seven runs, but only two were earned. Twardoski did not walk a batter and struck out two.

The Panthers had four hits in the second game. Barrs, Adrienne Little, Katelyn Richardson, and Taylor Tallent each had a hit.

Emily Cauldwell (0-2) started and took the loss. She pitched two innings, surrendering seven runs on five hits. Katelyn Little finished the game, giving up a run in 2-2/3 innings of work.

The Panthers play a non-conference doubleheader at Judson on Saturday.
