LAGRANGE, Ga. – LaGrange (2-4, 0-0 CCS) softball returns to action as they travel to Emory (0-0, 0-0 UAA) for a pair of games on Saturday, February 18.

The Panthers come in having split with No. 19 Birmingham-Southern (2/11), posting a 6-4 victory in the opener before falling 10-2 in five innings in the nightcap. Emory will be opening the 2023 season following an 18-20 season a year ago.

SERIES HISTORY

LaGrange trails the all-time series 46-5 since the first meeting on record during the 2003 season. The Eagles won the first 11 in the series and 23 of the first 24 before the Panthers won back-to-back 2-1 decisions in 2008 and 2009 for their longest win streak in the series. Emory comes in having won the last 10 meetings dating to the 2013 season, most recently a sweep of the 2022 season series by 3-0 and 11-3 scores on March 13 of that year.
