Women’s Soccer: Panthers come up short in season opener

JACKSONVILLE, Florida – The LaGrange Women's Soccer team came up short, 2-1, in its season opener against Edward Waters University on Thursday.
 
The Panthers came out shooting in the first half with eight attempts but were unable to complete. The Tigers also struggled, and the first half ended with no score.
 
In the second, the Tigers scored two unanswered goals before Madison Drobisch hit for the Panthers with only two minutes remaining.
 
Kaia King led the team with four shots, three of them on-goal. Goalkeeper Leila Moss had 10 saves.
 
The team takes on Trinity Baptist Saturday at noon in Jacksonville.
