The LaGrange College Women's Soccer Team picked up their opening conference win against Agnes Scott 4-0 Saturday at Panther Field.
LC (5-2-2) started fast, as Sydney Dailey scored just a minute into the game, her third goal of the season. That was the only scoring in the first half, as the Panthers remained in front.
The second half was a much different story. Ten minutes in, defender Madison Dekker scored her second goal of the season off a Kirsten Captino assist to make the score 2-0. Goals by Briana Suarez and Makenzi Maltezo later in the half made it 4-0—and that's where it stayed.
LaGrange was led by a solid back line, giving up only one shot all night and none on goal. Goalies Rian May and Leila Moss picked up their fourth shutout of the season.
The offense was just as potent. The Panthers put up 16 shots and eight of those on goal.
LC will be back at home on Tuesday against Huntington and on the road next Saturday against Belhaven as the Panthers enter the heart of conference play.
