WOMEN’S SOCCER: Panthers lose regular-season finale

The LaGrange College Women's Soccer team lost at home to Maryville 4-0 in the regular season's final game.

The match started with two quick Maryville goals, and by 20 minutes into the first half, LC was down 2-0. The score stayed there when the teams went to the locker room.

The second half was a struggle for the Panthers, who gave up two more goals 15 minutes into the half to extend Maryville's lead to 4-0. The team had chances late to cut into the Scots lead, but it stayed at a score of 4-0 as the final whistle blew.

The Panthers were outshot 23-4, and the Scots put 16 shots on goal. While the Panthers only had four shots, all of them were on goal, with Kaia King putting two on goal, Jordan Alexis one on goal, and Georgia Dammann one on goal, as well.

LC finishes the regular season with a record of 8-5-2, and a 4-3-1 in conference play. The team will compete at home next Saturday against an opponent to be named later to open its conference tournament play.
