Following a sequence of two consecutive goals from both teams, the Panthers took the lead in the 70th minute and secured a 3-2 victory.

A pass from Briana Suarez helped Kaia King pick up from where she left off last year, hitting a top left corner goal only 8 minutes into the match, kicking off the Panther scoring run. In the 35th minute, Kendyl Anderson found Briana Suarez to score a low right shot from in front of the net to put LC up 2-0. Not even a minute later, N.C. Wesleyan's Mia Scherbrer answered with a goal of her own.

The Panthers lead 2-1 going into halftime.

All was slow in the second half until Caitlyn Butler for NCW got a clean shot on goal to tie the game 2-2 in the 59th minute. Ten minutes later, the Panthers answered back with a goal from Briana Suarez assisted by Kaia King

The Panthers stay in Rocky Mount N.C. to play tomorrow against Meredith College, at 2 p.m.
