Panthers fall to Belhaven 4-0

Belhaven was too much for the Panther tonight, LC dropped the game 4-0.

The first half of the match was all Belhaven. Although the half ended at only 1-0, their offense stayed on the Panthers side of the field. In the first 45, they had 11 total shots and six on goal, while we only had one shot and none on goal. The most important Panther of the first half was freshman Anna Wright. She had an outstanding five saves, one of which came from her brick-walling their penalty kick in the 36th minute. What makes this save more impressive is that it came only three minutes after Belhaven had scored their one goal. This showcased her ability to move on from the past and continue to play great.

The Blazers continued to push forward on the offense in the second half. They scored goals in the 55th, 77th and 88th to win 4-0.

The Panthers stay home to face Piedmont on Oct. 10.
