The Panthers travel to Brunswick, Ga this week to take on Coastal (Sept. 27)

The volleyball team takes a break from CCS play to face the College of Coastal Georgia on Sept. 27 at 7 p.m.

The matchup

The Panthers are 2-6 on the season after securing a win in their last match over Wesleyan (Sept. 23). The Coastal volleyball team is currently 4-7 in 2023. Neither team has played the same competition this season. The last time the two teams met, Coastal beat the Panthers 3-0 on Sept. 13, 2022.

What to watch for

One thing to pay attention to is how the Panthers can continue to play without outside hitter Journey Oden. In the match against Berea (Sept. 23), Oden landed funny on her foot, which resulted in an injury. It is unclear how long she will have to sit out. This could prove to be a big loss for the Panthers as Oden leads the team in kills (51). The team did pull out a 3-2 win without Oden over the Wolves of Wesleyan (Sept 23).

Where and when to watch

The match is at the College of Coastal Georgia on Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. If you want to watch but cannot travel to Brunswick, the game can be streamed here.
