Freshman Daniel Garrett is the USA South Rookie Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 16.
Garrett appeared in three games last week, all in relief, and picked up his first win of the season. He threw a total of six shutout innings; allowing just one hit with two walks and one strikeout. In a 3-2 USA South win over Averett, Garrett came into the game during the fifth inning and tossed 2-1/3 shutout innings to collect the victory. For the season, Garrett has allowed only an unearned run in 15 innings of work.
