SANDESTIN, Fla. - The LaGrange golf team tied for 17th at the Golfweek DIII Invitational played at the Raven Golf Club. The Panthers had a three-day total of 909 over the par 71 Raven Club course. Four of the Panthers set personal low rounds of the fall in the tournament.
Senior Jay Adams paced the Panthers. Adams had rounds of 71,72, and 79 for a 222 total. The even par first round of 71, that included three birdies, was his low round of the fall thus far. Freshman Luke Jarvis was one shot back of Adams. Jarvis recorded his low round of the fall with a second round 73. Freshman Alex Oda's low fall round of 75 gave him a 235 total for the tournament. Senior Thomas Bird was a shot behind Oda with a 236 total. Sophomore Connor Gillespie opened the tournament with a 77, his low round of the fall. Gillespie had a total of 254.
The Panthers close out the fall schedule at the Berry Fall Invitational on Oct. 25-26 at the Stonebridge Golf Club in Rome, Ga.
