Junior defender/midfielder Nicholas Smiech is the Collegiate Conference of the South Defensive Player of the Week.

Smiech helped the Panthers to a 1-1 record last week, including an historic win over conference rival Covenant. The Fayetteville, Georgia native had the game-winning goal in the 3-2 victory over the Scots. It was the first win over the Scots in 15 meetings. Smiech has two goals this season and has helped anchor the Panther defensive backfield.
