Wes Dodson begins his first year as Head Coach of the LaGrange College football team. Coach Dodson comes from Hampden Sydney College located in Farmville, Virginia. He began coaching at Hampden-Sydney in 2007 as an assistant coach. In 2008, he took over as the Defensive Coordinator. During his time at Hampden-Sydney, the program went to five Conference Championships, made it to six NCAA playoffs, had 18 All-Americans, and four ODAC players of the year.
Prior to Hampden-Sydney, Dodson coached the safeties and special teams at the College of William and Mary from 2005-2006. W&M is an FCS college in the state of Virginia, and at the time they were competing in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
He began his coaching career at his alma mater, Western Michigan University. From 2002-2004 he was a graduate assistant. During his tenure at WMU he coached the offensive line for two seasons and the defensive secondary for one. Coach Dodson played safety at Western Michigan University from 1998-2002, while obtaining his Bachelor's degree.
Dodson is a native of Nappanee, Indiana and currently resides in LaGrange with his wife, Teresa, and son, Ben.
