Head football coach Todd Mooney has announced the team Players of the Week for the Methodist game.
Junior quarterback Ed Russ is the Offensive Player of the Week. Russ ran for a game-high 141 yards on 20 carries. He had a 85-yard touchdown run, the longest run from scrimmage by a Panther quarterback.
Junior linebacker Andre Carter is the Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight game. Carter had a team-leading 12 tackles. He had his first interception of the year and recorded a quarterback sack.
Sophomore kicker Will Jeffcoat is the Special Teams Player of the Week. Jeffcoat kicked a career-high three field goals against Methodist. He also averaged 58.5 yards on kickoffs and had two touchbacks.
Freshman quarterback Mitch Gutierrez is the Scout Team Offensive Player of the Week and Scott Tupper is the Scout Team Defensive Player of the Week.
