The Panther Men's and Women's Cross Country teams competed at the Huntingdon Hawks Invitational in Grady, Alabama, on Saturday.
"This was a great opportunity for our newcomers to get a glimpse of the course at Huntingdon since it will be where we will run for the CCS Championship," said Head Coach Jasen Jonus. "Our team had a great showing, and I'm really proud how they competed."
The Panther men raced on a 6K course and placed 4th as a team overall.
Leading the squad was Isaiah Oden with a time of 19:12.9. He was followed by Luke Jarvis at 20:19.1 and Steven Petty at 20:52.
The Panther women competed on a 5K course and placed third as a team.
Pacing the women was Kennedy Young with a time of 25:18.9. She was followed by Laurel Reese at 26:29.1 and Lindsey Swearngin at 26:59.
The teams' next meet is the Julius Johnson Invitational in Macon on Friday, Sept. 16.
