Cross Country: Panthers race in Carrollton

The LaGrange College Cross Country teams traveled to Carrollton this Saturday for the Gary Wilson Invitational, hosted by the University of West Georgia.

Led by freshman Kennedy Young with a 5K time of 23:33:08, the LC womens' team performed very well, with each of the runners setting a personal record. Young was followed by Lindsey Swearngin with a time of 24:42:57, and Lindsey Green with a time of 29:02:35.

In the men's race, sophomore Isaiah Oden ran his 8K in 30:46:10, helping LaGrange secure an eighth-place spot overall. Right behind was Steven Petty with a time of 30:46:41, and Luke Jarvis with a time of 32:42:69.

Head Coach Jason Jonus said that he was proud of both teams' performances.

"Everyone did really well today, and I am proud of each of [the runners]," Jonus said. "Everyone is making good progress."

The teams' next meet is the Skyhawk Invitational in Valley, Alabama, on Saturday, Oct. 1.
