LAGRANGE, Ga. – LaGrange (0-12) beach volleyball heads to the Clash on the Cajun Bayou for four matches as they take on Nicholls State (0-4, 0-0 Southland), New Orleans (2-2, 0-0 Southland), Louisiana-Monroe (4-0, 0-0 SBC) and Loyola New Orleans (3-5, 1-2 SUN) from March 3-4.
That tournament will be held in Thibodaux, Louisiana with first serve against NSU at 2 p.m. and UNO at 4 p.m. on Day 1 before taking on ULM and Loyola New Orleans at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., respectively.
The Panthers come in having dropped 5-0 decisions to Huntingdon, twice (2/24, 2/25) and to Lynchburg (2/24) along with a 4-1 final to the latter on February 25. Nicholls dropped their first four by 5-0 scores to North Alabama (2/25), New Orleans (2/25), LSU (2/26) and Tulane (2/26) while New Orleans split their four matches at that same Green Wave Invitational. In addition to the sweep of Nicholls, they defeated Tulane (2/25) by a 5-0 score, lost to LSU (2/26) by that same margin and narrowly defeated UNA (2/26) 3-2.
Loyola New Orleans comes in having won three of their first eight matches but have lost four of their last five. Their lone win during that time was 4-1 against Florida Memorial (2/25) while most recently they fell 3-2 to St. Thomas (2/25).
