Freshman pitcher Dalton Brooks was selected as the USA South Rookie Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 1.
Brookis went five innings in the Panthers' 18-1, seven-inning, win over Dallas in his only start last week. He allowed one run on four hits with two walks and a team season-high nine strikeouts to earn his first collegiate victory. For the season, Brooks is 1-1 in four starts with a 3.18 ERA. He leads the team with 20 strikeouts in 17 innings of work.
