LAGRANGE, Ga. – Heavy rain fall throughout the LaGrange area has forced the adjustment of the schedule for the inaugural Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Baseball Tournament for Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6.
Originally slated to begin at 11 a.m. with top seeded No. 23 LaGrange against No. 5 Seed Covenant, that game has now been pushed back to a 3 p.m. first pitch.
Accordingly, No. 3S Huntingdon vs. No. 6S Maryville has been moved to 6 p.m. with No. 2S Belhaven and No. 4S Piedmont shifting to tomorrow, Saturday, May 6. That game is set for a 10 a.m. start and pushes the day's regular schedule to 1p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Tickets are still available and fans can take in the games with a $30 pass for the entire tournament or $15 for single days. Youth (Ages 6-17) are admitted for $5 per day and all non-CCS students 18-years and older are $15 for the tournament and $10 a day. Seniors and military are $20 for the tournament and $10 per day with children five and under and CCS students with ID are free.
All the action will also be available through live stats and video for each game with the links for those available on the tournament schedule page.
