LAGRANGE, Ga. – In a sport marked by tournament play, LaGrange (0-16) beach volleyball will play a rare single match when they head to Huntingdon (12-6) for a midweek matchup under the lights on Wednesday, March 8. First serve is set for 6 p.m. in Montgomery, Alabama.
The Panthers come in having fallen in four matches last weekend at the Battle on the Cajun Bayou tournament in Thibodaux, Louisiana. There they fell to Nicholls State (3/3), New Orleans (3/3), Louisiana Monroe (3/4) and Loyola New Orleans (3/4).
Huntingdon, meanwhile, opened the season at an outstanding 12-4 with an eight-match win streak from February 16-25 but has dropped their last two. Most recently they fell 3-2 to Berry (3/4) and defending national champion Stevenson (3/4). Entering the meeting, the Hawks have delivered three 5-0 wins over LaGrange this year on February 10, 24 and 25..
Full coverage of each of the Panthers' matches will be available on www.LaGrangePanthers.com, the official online home of LaGrange Athletics, following the action from each day.
