MONTGOMERY, Ala. - LaGrange took on Huntingdon at Posey Field on Saturday in the second game of their three-game USA South series.
The Hawks (9-3, 5-0 USA South) extended their win streak to eight games with a 12-2 win over the Panthers (2-7, 0-2 USA South).
Ty Edwards had two of the Panthers' six hits in the game. Cain Sauls had an RBI double, while Keith Sims had a triple and scored a run.
Justin Yestrumsky (1-2) started on the mound for the Panthers and took the loss. In three innings, he gave up six runs; five of those were earned.
Cole Anderson followed Yestrumsky for three innings. He gave up five runs; four of those were earned. Gage Mooney closed out the game for the Panthers, allowing a run in two innings.
The two teams conclude their series Sunday at 3 p.m. EST. The Panthers host Berry on Tuesday, March 4 at 6 p.m. in a non-conference game.
