Freshman designated hitter Casey Bell is the USA South Rookie Player of the Week for the week ending April 27.
Bell went a combined 9-for-22 (.409) with five RBIs, three runs scored, a double and a triple as the Panthers recorded a 3-2 record last week. He helped lead the Panthers to a series win over USA South foe Methodist, going 8-for-13 (.615) with five RBIs, two runs scored, a double and a triple. For the season, Bell led the Panther regulars in batting with a .304 average and was second on the team with 21 RBIs.
