ATLANTA, Ga. - Oglethorpe downed LaGrange 7-6 in 10 innings Tuesday at Anderson Field. The Panthers are now 12-17, while the Stormy Petrels improved to 18-10.
Blake Schuck (0-3) took the loss for the Panthers. He pitched three innings, and the winning run was unearned.
Jake Fussell pitched the first two innings and was followed by Stephen Coehlo, Bruno Aurnhammer, Daniel Garrett and Chandler Joyner.
The Panthers had 12 hits in the game. Alex Murfin, Jackson Patrick, Chad Pigg and Cain Sauls all had two hits. Pigg and Sauls each had a double included in their hits. Casey Bell also had a double.
The Panthers play a USA South series at N.C. Wesleyan beginning with a doubleheader Saturday and finishing with a single game Sunday.
