Freshman outfielder Jorge Fragoso is the USA South Baseball Rookie of the Week for the week ending Feb. 20.
Fragoso went a combined 5-for-9 (.556) with a .600 on-base percentage, and a .556 slugging percentage to go along with three runs scored, five RBI, and a walk in three games last week. In a 12-9 win over Berry, Fragoso entered the game as a pinch hitter and had hits in his first two collegiate at-bats while driving in thre runs. In two games against Spalding, Fragoso went 3-for-7 with two runs scored, two RBIs, and a walk.
