Sophomore Dalton Brooks is the USA South Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 10. Brooks' pitching gem helped LC sweep USA South opponent Brevard.
Brooks, in his only start of the week, threw a complete game 1-hitter to beat Brevard 1-0. It was the Panthers' first complete game shutout by a pitcher since the 2018 season and the team' third shutout of the season. Brooks carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning before a leadoff single broke it up. He finished the game with 10 strikeouts against only two walks. Brooks is 4-0 this season with a 3.19 ERA. He has 47 strikeouts in 45-2/3 innings.
