MARYVILLE, Tenn. - The LaGrange men's tennis team had little trouble beating Maryville in a USA South match Sunday. It was the fifth straight win for the Panthers, now 8-2 for the season and 4-1 in conference play.
Brothers Alan and Carlos Valdez won their matches in straight sets without dropping a game. Alan defeated Mateus Coling 6-0, 6-0 at #3 singles, while Carlos matched the result in beating Cole Stinson at #5 singles.
The Panthers play at Piedmont in a USA South match Wednesday. LC won the first meeting between the teams 5-4 on March 3.
