LAGRANGE, Ga. – LaGrange men's (4-4, 0-2 CCS) and women's tennis (0-7, 0-2 CCS) are set for back-to-back matches as they travel to Maryville (M: 4-8, 0-2 CCS, W: 3-7, 1-1 CCS) on Saturday, March 25 before returning home for Senior Day against Berea (M: 0-7, 0-1 CCS, W: 0-6, 0-1 CCS) on Sunday, March 26.
First serve against MC is set for 4 p.m. in Maryville, Tennessee and 11 a.m. at the Greer Tennis Courts against BC.
The women have lost their first seven of the season, most recently 8-1 to Mississippi University for Women (3/23) while the men blanked MUW by a 9-0 score that same day.
Maryville's men, meanwhile, have dropped four in a row with losses to Stevenson (7-2 on 3/15), Belhaven (7-2 on 3/18), Piedmont (9-0 on 3/21) and Franklin (5-4 on 3/23) with the women having won three of their last four. They took three in a row over Western Connecticut State (7-2 on 3/14), Stevenson (8-1 on 3/15) and Belhaven (7-2 on 3/18) before getting blanked 9-0 at Piedmont (3/21) in their most recent outing.
For Berea, their men have lost their first seven of the season with the last five by 9-0 scores. Those have come to Anderson (2/25), Capital (3/3), Hanover (3/4), Centre (3/14) and Covenant (3/18). BC's women have lost all six of their matches, and have not scored more than one point all year. Most recently they were shutout 9-0 at Centre (3/10) and on the road at Covenant (3/18).
