LAGRANGE, Ga. – LaGrange men's (3-3, 0-1 CCS) and women's tennis (0-5, 0-1 CCS) are back in action as they head to Alabama to take on Huntingdon (M: 1-2, 0-0 CCS, W: 2-1, 1-0 CCS) on Saturday, March 18. Both matches are scheduled for 2 p.m. (EST) in Montgomery, Alabama.
The women have dropped their first five matches of the season, falling 7-2 to Huntingdon (2/17) in non-conference play, 9-0 at Oglethorpe (2/18) and against Truett-McConnell (3/4) and 7-2 to Belhaven (3/11). They also suffered a forfeit at Mississippi University for Women (2/25).
For the men it has been a far stronger campaign, despite dropping a non-conference 6-3 decision to HC (2/17) and falling 9-0 at Oglethorpe (2/18) to open the spring portion of the season. Since then they have taken two of their last three, blanking MUW (2/25) 9-0 and narrowly defeating Truett-McConnell (3/4) by a 5-4 score. Most recently they dropped an 8-1 decision to Belhaven (3/11).
Huntingdon's men, since their 6-3 victory over the Panthers, have dropped both of their matches by 9-0 scores, falling to Birmingham-Southern (2/18) and Oglethorpe (3/4). The Hawk women defeated Agnes Scott (3/1) for their first Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) victory following their win over LC. Most recently they fell 9-0 at Oglethorpe (3/4) in non-conference action.
