LAGRANGE, Ga. – LaGrange men's (3-4, 0-2 CCS) and women's tennis (0-6, 0-2 CCS) return to action as they come home to face Mississippi University for Women (M: 0-8, W: 2-6) on Thursday, March 23. Both matches are scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Greer Tennis Courts.
The women have dropped their first six matches of the season, falling 7-2 to Huntingdon (2/17) in non-conference play, 9-0 at Oglethorpe (2/18) and against Truett-McConnell (3/4) and 7-2 to Belhaven (3/11) and 6-3 at HC in their most recent contest. They also suffered a forfeit at MUW (2/25).
On the men's side they've dropped a non-conference 6-3 decision to HC (2/17) and fell 9-0 at Oglethorpe (2/18) to open the spring portion of the season. They have split their last four, blanking MUW (2/25) 9-0 and narrowly defeating Truett-McConnell (3/4) by a 5-4 score. Most recently they dropped an 8-1 decision to Belhaven (3/11) and fell by a 6-3 margin at Huntingdon (3/18).
MUW's men have lost all eight of their matches this season by 9-0 scores while the women have claimed just two, 5-4 over Huntingdon (9/24) and a forfeit against the Panthers on February 25 in Columbus, Mississippi.
