Piedmont took a 7-2 non-conference win over LaGrange on Thursday at the Greer Tennis Courts.
The Panthers won #2 doubles with Daniel Assumpcao and Josh Tullier defeating Bryce VanOrder and Kody Dills 8-3. Joshua Hembree beat Dills at #6 singles in straight sets, 7-6 and 6-2. Al Robertson and Luke Griffin lost at #1 doubles 8-7 in a tie breaker to Chris Bale and Patrick Dempsey. Tullier lost in three sets to Dempsey at #3 singles 5-7, 6-0, 2-6.
The Panthers are on the road Friday against Emory & Henry in Spartanburg and Saturday at Brevard in a USA South match.
