LAGRANGE, Ga. – LaGrange (11-19, 5-7 CCS) softball hits the road for their final four regular season games, beginning with a trip to Maryville (18-13, 8-4 CCS) on Tuesday, April 18. A makeup date for the original contests scheduled for April 7, first pitch is slated for 2 p.m. with the nightcap schedule for approximately 4 p.m.
The Panthers come in having dropped a doubleheader at home to Piedmont, falling 11-2 and 11-1 on Sunday, April 16, while the Scots had won four in a row before dropping a pair to Belhaven on April 15. The first of those was a narrow 3-2 decision in 11 innings with the nightcap being 9-5.
SERIES HISTORY
The Panthers trail the all-time series against the Scots 26-24 in the 50 meetings since 2003. LaGrange won five in a row from 2005-06, notching decisions of 6-1, 4-1, 1-0, 11-2 and 2-1 and Maryville matched with their five-game streak from 2018-21. That would be part of seven wins in the last eight, including 10-1 and 10-2 on April 2, 2022.
