LAGRANGE, Ga. – While Spring is a ways away the signs of its coming are rounding into focus as LaGrange (0-0, 0-0 CCS) softball is set to open the 2023 campaign as they host Sewanee (0-0, 0-0 SAA) in a non-conference doubleheader on Saturday, February 4. First pitch is set for 12 p.m.
LC enters the season following a year in which they finished 8-29 overall and 3-13 in their final season in the USA South. Meanwhile, Sewanee comes in with a 7-26 mark and 3-10 record in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) in 2022.
SERIES HISTORY
The Panthers renew their series with Sewanee following a 17-year gap after the first meetings in 2006. In that doubleheader LC delivered a dominating performance, posting 8-0 and 10-2 victories, to hold a 2-0 all-time advantage.
