LaGrange celebrated Senior Day with a 2-1 come-from-behind Collegiate Conference of the South win over Berea on Saturday at Panther Field. The Panthers stopped a two-game losing streak in improving to 7-4-2 overall and 3-2-1 overall.
Seniors Jordan Alexis, Sydney Dailey, Breanna Gay, Abigail Miranda, and Christina Shanahan were honored before the game.
The Panthers controlled the game. Berea (2-11-2, 2-3-1 CSS) was held to just one shot, but the Mountaineers made it count. Alyssa Tittsworth's goal in the 17th minute gave Berea a 1-0 lead.
The Panthers had an overwhelming 18-1 shot advantage and 7-1 in corner kicks. But it was the 73rd minute before they got the equalizer. Daily tied the game off an assist from Kendyl Anderson. Nine minutes later, Dailey scored unassisted for the game-winner. The two goals gave her five for the season.
The Panthers close out the regular season next week with CCS games at Wesleyan on Wednesday and hosting Maryville on Saturday.
