Over the weekend, the Panthers ran past Sweet Briar in a 3-0 shutout.
After keeping the ball on their side of the field during the first 20 minutes, we could not capitalize on our chances. Nothing was going the Panthers way until in the last minute of the half Madison Dekker took a corner for Briana Suarez to hit the goal to put LC up 1-0.
The Panthers struggled to find the net in the second half until a pass from Makenzi Maltezo in front of the net to Kendyl Anderson was stuffed in. The Panthers went up 2-0 in the 74th minute. LC scored another quick goal in the 77th minute when Makenzi Maltezo got a pass from Kendyl Anderson to put the Panthers up 3-0.
The next time the Panthers play is at Birmingham-Southern on Sept. 13. The match begins at 6 p.m.
