Following their 3-1 scrimmage win over Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, the Panthers travel to Americus, Georgia to scrimmage against Georgia Southwestern State University. The game is at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23.
While this will be the Panthers second scrimmage of the year, Georgia Southwestern State University is kicking off their season against us. Since it is still preseason, we should see both teams rotate through their rosters while trying to find the best combination of lineups for the upcoming season. The two teams have not faced each other in recent history.
One thing to watch for this scrimmage is if the Panthers can put more shots on target. During the scrimmage against Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, the Panthers missed out on a handful of chances after their shots soared above the net. Another thing to pay attention to is sophomore Kaia King. Starting from where she left off, King scored two back-to-back goals within three minutes of each other during last weekend's exhibition (Aug. 20).
After this scrimmage, the LaGrange College women's soccer team begins their regular season.
