The women's soccer team looks to get another CCS win this week when they face Wesleyan at 7 p.m. on Wednesday (Sept. 27).
The matchup
The Panthers are 3-4-2, and 1-2 in the CCS. Junior midfielder Briana Suarez leads the Panthers in goals with six on the season. The Wolves are 1-7 and 0-1 in the CCS so far this season. Senior midfielder Amber Whitten leads the Wolves in points with two goals and three assists. Neither team has played the same competition in the 2023 season. The last time the two teams played, the Panthers won 3-1 on Oct. 19 , 2023.
What to watch for
The biggest thing to pay attention to is how the Panthers can respond after going through a tough shutout loss against Maryville (Sept. 24). Wesleyan is still looking to get their first CCS win, so expect them to come out playing hard and taking big chances.
