The Panthers head to Piedmont University this Saturday (Oct. 28) to start the CCS post season tournament at 2 p.m.
The Matchup
The Panthers are 6-6-4 (3-4-1 CCS) and most recently tied 2-2 against Faulkner University (Oct. 23). In the game against Faulkner, the Panthers looked like they had the game wrapped up until Faulkner hit an 88th minute goal to tie the game. The Panthers were limited in their shots, but when they did take one, it was on target. Of seven total shots, six were on goal and two went in. If LC can create more of these opportunities, then the Panthers can beat the Lions. Piedmont is 9-6-5 (5-2-1 CCS) and is coming off of a tie against Bob Jones University (Oct. 23). Sierra Judson leads the Panthers in points with 15 on seven goals and one assist. The last time the two teams played, the Lions won 1-0 in a nail-biting match (Oct. 10).
