Montgomery, Alabama—LaGrange College closed out the 2022 season with a 55-7 loss Saturday at Huntingdon.
The Panthers fell behind early in the contest and never found their footing against the Hawks. The score was 21-0 at the end of the first quarter, and it wasn't until midway through the second that LC answered with its first and only score. The touchdown came on a short pass from Shedrick Lindsey to De'Queze Fryer.
However, it was all Huntingdon from that point on. The score was 28-7 at the half, with the Hawks adding two more touchdowns in the third and a final in the fourth.
Nearly all the Panthers' offensive gains were achieved in the air, with Lindsey passing for 152 yards. The leading receiver was LJ Flint with 52 yards, followed by Ajani Williams with 47 yards.
Yavari Scott led the defense with 11 total tackles.
The Panthers finish the season 1-8.
