Senior De'queze Fryer, following a spectacular 2021 season, has been selected as a preseason All-American by D3.football.com.
Fryer is one of two tight ends to earn first-team honors, joining Cole Hissong from Wooster.
Fryer was unstoppable last season with 66 catches for 944 yards in 10 games, and he scored 11 touchdowns.
Fryer had at least one touchdown catch in every game, and five times he surpassed 100 receiving yards in a game.
Fryer had a season-best nine catches for 123 yards against Southern Virginia on Sept. 18, and he had eight receptions for 112 yards in the season finale against Huntingdon.
"I wish I had 20 like him," said LaGrange College Head Coach Earl Chambers said. "He has the work ethic. He has the determination to be successful. He was raised the right way. There's no doubt about that. Coaching him is the easy part. He does everything you ask him to do. If he can't do it, he'll keep trying."
Fryer and his Panther teammates will open the season on Sept. 3 at home against Middle Georgia.
"I'm ready for this season," Fryer said. "I'll just take it day by day. I'm trying to get better with my craft, and in school."
