Brodie Scott's phenomenal performance helps the Panthers rise above Pensacola Christian. LC wins 77-66.
First half details
The Panthers started the game going up 6-2 quickly against the Eagles. The best play happened early in the half, when Brodie Scott grabbed the Pensacola rebound and then passed the ball to Gabe Cofield for Cofield to finish the give and go when he hit streaking Scott for the score. The game stayed close throughout, but the Panthers led 40-33 at the end of the half.
Second half details
LC began the half hot, going up 49-35 after a 9-2 run. Each team went on to trade points in this half, but the Panthers out-hustled and outplayed the Eagles. The best play of the half happened when a Panthers pass found Kyle Smith under the basket for him to hit a two over his defender. LC held on to win 77-66.
Top Panther performances
Brodie Scott scored a team-high 14 points, shooting 50% tonight. Scott also grabbed eight rebounds.
Freshman guard Samuel Moss also played great tonight. Moss also scored 14 points, shooting 55% from the field and 33% from the three.
