It was all William Peace in the Panthers first game in the Winter Classic. The Pacers began the game hot and did not look back on their way to leading 46-25 at half. LC continued to fight, but William Peace held on to win 93-60 (Dec. 29). Kameron McCall scored a team-high 13 points, shooting 57% from the field and 50% from three.
Second game details
Despite losing the first game, the Panthers beat Southern Virginia 86-84 in a come from behind win. The Knights kept the game close throughout and even led late, but a few clutch LC plays pushed the Panthers past SVU. The best play of the game was when Cam Lyons stole the ball from a Knight guard, found an open Shaun Nichols, for Shaun to cut the SVU lead to 85-83 with a layup with just under a minute remaining. On the following play, Samuel Moss scored a layup and then was fouled, which gave the freshman guard two shots at the line. These series of plays secured the Panther road win.
