The Panthers hit the road to play a Saturday 5 p.m. tip against the 2-6 Pensacola Christian Eagles (Dec. 2).
The teams
The Panthers are 5-2 and are coming off of a tough 91-69 loss to Berry College (Nov. 21). In the five games he has played, freshman Samuel Moss leads LC in scoring with 15.2 per game, shooting 34% from the field and 46% from the three. The team has a shooting average of 45% from the field and 33% beyond the arc this season. The Eagles are currently 2-6 and most recently lost to Huntingdon College 78-67 (Nov. 28). The team does play Trinity Baptist College the night before the game against LC (Dec. 1). Forward Liam Gerdts leads Pensacola Christian with 14.4 points per game and 14 total blocks.
The Series
The Panthers all-time record is 19-15 against the Eagles. The last time the two teams met, LC won 89-79 (Nov. 21, 2022). In that game, returning Panther Zac Hill scored a team-high 18 points, 67% from the field. Liam Gerdts led Pensacola Christian for returning Eagle players with 10 points, shooting 33% in field goals.
