A late Panther run pushed LC past Centenary 83-76. Samuel Moss scored a team-high 19 points for the Panthers. Seth Thomas scored the most for Centenary (18).
First half
Centenary got off to a quick start against the Panthers, going up 8-3 in the early minutes. Samuel Moss was able to hit a three off of a Syncere Harris pass to bring it to 8-6. During the first eight minutes, Centenary stayed in front of LC but the Panthers kept it close. That was until LC went on a 5-0 run to go up 20-18 with ten minutes remaining in the half. The play of the half came with five minutes remaining. The missed Panther shot was rebounded by Brodie Scott which he put back up to close the gap of Centenary's lead to 27-24. Centenary would go on a 9-0 run in the final two minutes of the half to lead at the break 41-33. Brodie Scott led the Panthers in rebounds (5) and points (8) after shooting 100% from the floor. LC out rebounded Centenary 15-10 and more second chance points (7-5) but the Panthers shots just were not falling. The team was shooting 38% from the field and 28% from beyond the arc, while Centenary was making 47% of their field goals and 46% from three.
Second half
The Panthers came out firing in the second half. In the first three minutes, LC went on an 11-2 run to take the 44-43 lead. Samuel Moss scored five of the eleven Panther points. Each team traded scores for the next seven minutes, but Centenary was able to pull ahead 54-49 with ten remaining. The best play of the second half happened when Kameron McCall grabbed his own rebound and put up a two at the nine minute mark. Only three minutes later, Gabe Cofield did the same thing as McCall, which cut Centenary's lead to 69-64. The team continued to battle and was able to close their lead to 72-68 with under four left. The Panthers took the 79-76 lead with just under a minute remaining. The LC was able to hold on to win 83-76

Samuel Moss had a great performance against Centenary. Moss had a team-high 19 points and seven rebounds.
Brodie Scott also had a solid game today. He also had seven rebounds and scored 10 points.
