"Extremely proud of the fight in these young men. After a gritty performance on Tuesday night all we talked about this week was to come out and play our best, and we did that collectively," Coach Kendal Wallace said. "We emphasized that we needed production from our bench. We emphasized we needed to make free throws. And we emphasized we need to share the basketball when appropriate and keep when appropriate. Great decision making by our team tonight. That was a great win for our program."
Maryville led 54-39 five minutes into the second half. Over the next 10 minutes, the Panthers stormed back, outscoring the Scots 38-16 to take a 77-70 lead. Brown's layup gave LC the seven-point lead with 4:48 remaining.
The Panthers kept the lead and were up 87-85 after Hill made a free throw with 24 seconds left. Maryville sent the game into overtime when Kaleb Powell scored on a layup with eight seconds showing on the clock.

Hill scored twice on the next two possessions for the Panthers to put them ahead to stay, 97-94. Gabe Cofield made four straight free throws to hold the Scots at bay and ice the game.
